H-E-B needed to update their digital experience with a standalone mobile pharmacy app that would meet HIPAA security regulations and accessibility requirements, while reproducing all the robust functionality of their existing web site. All UX concepts were tested and validated by remote and onsite moderated user testing and designs were rapidly iterated based on user feedback.
The Pharmacy app successfully launched in October 2017. Initial results were fantastic! The app was already being downloaded and used even before the announcement. After launch, the App Store rating for the pharmacy app was at a 4.4 star rating, since its release over a year ago it has achieved a 4.8 star rating on the App Store with over 5k reviews and growing. Google Play currently rates the app at 4.7 stars.
